FRENCH RENDEVOUZ IN JULY AT WORLD MOVIES

Throughout July, the World Movies Channel offers viewers a rendezvous with some of the brightest stars of French Cinema, including Romain Duris, Thierry L'hermitte, Daniel Auteil, Brigitte Bardot, Jean Dujardin and Jean Reno, in a mix of contemporary and classic movies – including The Young Girls of Rochefort, starring Catherine Deneuve.


Each Wednesday at 8:30pm, The World Movies Channel pays tribute to the femme fatales of classic French cinema, strating with The Young Girls of Rochefort on Wednesday, July 1. Other films in the Rendezvous season include Please, Not Now! (July 8) by Roger Vadim, J. D. Trop and Jean Aurel, starring Brigitte Bardot, who also stars on The Bear and The Doll, by Michel Deville (July 22);

The last in the series is the 1955 adaptation of Emile Zola’s novel, Nana, WITH Martine Carole In the title role as the beautiful but horribly inept actress who dreams of escaping her life of drunken debauchery in the Parisian slums to make a better life for herself.br>
Sunday night at 8.30pm throughout July World Movies keeps the French flavour alive, with Romain Duris in Moliére, Daniel Auteuil in The Dinner Guest, Jean Dujardin in Ca$h and the 2008 César award winning, The Secret Of The Grain.
