12/5/2011: MATCHING JACK WINS AT MILAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FEST

Nadia Tass has just won Best Director award at Milan International Film Festival for Matching Jack, while Lynne Renew and David Parker received Best Screenplay.

Matching Jack is receiving strong response all over Europe. Last week it played to an enthusiastic audience at the Australian Embassy in Paris, followed by a screening at The Barbican Centre as part of the London Australian Film Festival.

Over recent months, the film has screened at:
Palm Beach International Film Festival
Cleveland International Film Festival
Belfast Film Festival
Internationales Filmwochenende Wurzburg (Germany)
Tiburon International Film Festival
Newport Beach Film Festival

Film critic Leonard Maltin recently viewed the film and noted: A deeply emotional film, clearly made with tender loving care. Kodi Smit-McPhee gives an utterly remarkable performance in a cast full of fine actors.

Later this week, Matching Jack Later will screen at Cannes as part of Cannes Cinephile hosted by Cannes Antipodes.
