1911 REVOLUTION – FEATURED PREVIEW

Releasing in cinemas globally to coincide with the 100th Anniversary of China’s 1911 Xinhai Revolution, 1911 is also Jackie Chan’s 100th film.

1911 Revolution tells the story of the founding of the Republic of China when Sun Yat-sen’s Revolutionary forces overthrew the Ming Dynasty. Sun is played by look-alike Chinese actor Zhao Wen Xuan (aka Winston Chao). 

Li Bingbing, Joan Chen, Jackie’s son Jaycee Chan also star along with a support cast of over 70 high profile actors. This $30 million historical epic relates one of the most significant periods in Chinese history, commencing with the Wuchang Uprising on October 10, 1911 and ending with the abdication of Emperor Puyi on February 10, 1912. 

1911 features not only the ideals and actions of the great political leaders, patriots and martyrs but also the love story between Huang Xing and Xu Zonghan.
