GOLDEN GLOBES 2013 - NOMINATIONS

AWARD SEASON WARM-UP: GOLDEN GLOW FOR AUSSIE STARS
Aussie stars Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts and Hugh Jackman end the old year on a high and can look forward to a very happy, indeed glowing, new year – in the company of gold statuettes, ranging from the SAG and the Golden Globes to possibly an Oscar mention (noms announced Jan. 15), with all three getting much airplay in the nomination lists.

Kidman has a best actress SAG nomination for her role in the mini-series Hemingway & Gellhorn (her co-star Clive Owen has one too), and a supporting nom for The Paperboy. Jackie Weaver is also an ensemble cast nominee for Silver Linings Playbook.

The films whose producers will start preparing acceptance speeches for major awards across all movie award presentations are: Argo, Django Unchained, The Master, Les Miserables, Lincoln, Life of Pi and Zero Dark Thirty … and perhaps Silver Linings Playbook.
