BRILLIANT LIES

SYNOPSIS:
The story centres around an attractive young woman who brings an official complaint of sexual harassment against her boss at an insurance brokerage, who strongly denies the charge. But who is telling the truth? As one character remarks, "To survive in the 90s, you’ve got to be lucky, rich or a brilliant liar." Behind it all is another story, about the sisters and their father, and a question of perception, which fills out the story with motivations for the characters.

Review by Andrew L. Urban:
Franklin gets terrific performances from his cast, and the combination of talents work to maintain dramatic tension high enough to carry off this adaptation from the stage. It may not be mass market fare, but should please intelligent cinema lovers.
