THE X-FILES PHENOMENA

SYNOPSIS:
Tunguska is an actual place in Russia where a massive meteorite crashed on June 30, 1908. Mystery still surrounds the meteorite explosion today. It is from this event that Chris Carter has created the sixth file, Tunguska.

While examining an ancient rock, a government scientist is exposed to a mysterious, black fluid that causes him to lapse into a coma. FBI agent Fox Mulder believes the substance may be extraterrestrial in origin. As Mulder and his partner Scully probe further, they meet up with Alex Krycek - the rogue operative linked to the murders of Mulderís father and Scullyís sister. Krycek holds the key to unlocking the mystery surrounding the rock. But when the search for answers leads to a remote forest near Tunguska, Russia; Mulder will come face to face with the startling depths of Krycekís deception.

THE X-FILES SERIES

The X-Files series has acquired a huge following since its video series debut in November 1995 with the release of The Unanswered File. The seriesí formula is an outstanding success. The characters are appealing - they provide a combination of elusiveness and mystery together with characteristics that we the viewers can empathise with. Sully is both glamorous and smart; she is no bimbo but beauty and brains combined. Mulder is tall, dark and handsome; practical, no wimp but there for the chase. Over 100,000 copies of the video were sold, proving that the X-Filesí followers could not wait for the television release, but bought the video. Six months later the second file was released in conjunction with the Collectors Cube. Called File Number 2 Tooms, it once again proved irresistible for X-File fans. Files 3 and 4, Abduction and Colony, were released in conjunction with Gillian Andersonís Australian tour in August 1996; Gillian was mobbed by thousands of ecstatic fans in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
