FCCA AWARDS 2004 WINNERS

While Somersault continued its winning streak at the Film Critics Circle Awards, Tom White also won some major awards, including Best Original Screenplay, Best Editing and Best Actor.

Presented at Sydney’s Dockside on Sunday November 7, the awards voted by members of the Film Critics Circle of Australia represented a broader range of filmmaking than the AFI Awards, although Somersault was still regarded Best Film.

Curiously, Somersault did not win the screenplay award, but Abbie Cornish and Lynette Curran won their second awards, as did director Cate Shortland.
