IF AWARDS 2004 WINNERS

The results of the 2004 IF Awards, which gather more votes than any other film award in Australia (through festival screenings and on line), have closely matched the AFI Awards – with some significant differences, including Best Actor. But the recognition of Somersault as the year’s best Australian film seems overwhelmingly popular.

Held this year at Sydney’s Luna Park (10/11/2004), a location that symbolises fun, thrills and escapist entertainment, the SBS televised event was co-hosted by actress Sarah Wynter and comedian John Safran.
