Movie review:
INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE
(US, 2016) Dir: Roland Emmerich. Stars Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman. "The plot and dialogue get a bit fuzzy at times, but the film plays as expected: a boys own adventure generously endowed with scale, stupendous visual effects and a blend of old and new characters that rally together to save the world.... For those to whom size matters, this is the film for you!" says Louise.

Movie reviews:
EVERYBODY WANTS SOME !!
(US, 2016) Dir: Richard Linklater. Stars Blake Jenner, Tyler Hoechlin, Ryan Guzman. "Just like the infamous When Harry Met Sally scene in which the woman declares 'I want what she's having,' we all want to feel the same energy and zest for living shared by all Richard Linklater's characters in his latest film about diving into adulthood," says Louise. "If you feel a sigh of nostalgia for the era and what you were doing or being at the time, maybe you would get a bigger hit from the film than I," says Andrew.

Movie reviews:
MUSTANG
(France/Germany/Turkey/Qatar, 2015) Dir: Deniz Gamze Erguven. Stars Gunes Sensoy, Doga Zeynep Doguslu, Tugba Sunguroglu. "Unbridled like wild horses and revved up like the car built for exhilaration, the five young girls at the film's centre exude a contagious enthusiasm for life," says Louise. "Mustang is not your predictable 'girls in rebellion' movie; it is much more than a simplistic feminist essay," says Andrew.

Movie reviews:
MR RIGHT
(US, 2015) Dir: Paco Cabez. Stars Sam Rockwell, Anna Kendrick, Tim Roth. "The hitman romcom presents itself as a new genre in this crazy relationship story in which knives, bullets and blood form part of the foreplay," says Louise. "As a keen fan of black comedy, I was expecting a knockout, but it turns out to be a slap with a wet lettuce leaf," says Andrew.

THE LADY IN THE VAN
Stars Maggie Smith, Alex Jennings, Jim Broadbent. "As a 'mostly true story', The Lady in the Van is a delicious piece of English eccentricity, overcoming what could be seen as self indulgence by the writer at the centre of it, by its timidity - another English trait," says Andrew.
