Movie reviews:
THE BFG
(US, 2016) Dir: Steven Spielberg. Stars Ruby Barnhill, Bill Hader, Rebecca Hall, Mark Rylance. "Utterly charming," says Louise. "Technically flawless, The BFG is a fantasy, but Roald Dahl didn't make a name for himself by being insipid," says Andrew.

Movie review:
CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE
(US, 2016) Dir: Stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart. "It's an entertaining popcorn movie sure to satisfy its target market of younger audiences, done with all the polish that Hollywood money can buy," says Andrew.

Movie reviews:
THE MEASURE OF A MAN
(France, 2015) Dir: Stephane Brise. Stars Vincent Lindon, Karine de Mirbeck, Matthieu Schaller. "Subtle, voyeuristic and engrossing, with a stellar naturalistic performance by Lindon, this is a film for the discerning cinema lover, says Louise. "Lindon draws us in beautifully to his character, even though there isn't much to explore. It all relies on the final scene, a weak payoff to justify the title," says Andrew.

Movie review:
BELLE & SEBASTIAN: THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES
(France, 2015) Dir: Christian Duguay. Stars Felix Bossuet, Tcheky Karyo, Thierry Neuvic, Margaux Chatelier. "A winning recipe of stunning natural settings, thrilling adventure and key relationships for a little boy who loves his dog," says Louise.

UPCOMING FILMS
[Coming late August, The Founder, starring Michael Keaton, Linda Cardellini, Patrick Wilson, Nick Offerman, John Carroll Lynch, Laura Dern.]
Calendar of films releasing in June

NEW DVDS:
GRIMSBY
Stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Mark Strong, Isla Fisher, Rebel Wilson. "Grimsby is an unadulterated orgy of obscene, puerile humour doused with touches of potentially clever satire as it speeds along in its action movie guise," says Louise.

LONDON HAS FALLEN
Stars Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Radha Mitchell. "This is an altogether better film with a screenplay than its predecessor, Olympus Has Fallen (2013), albeit it's the same template, the good guys are still good guys through and through, the bad guys are always bad guys through and through, and the political context is also black and white," says Andrew.

Competition winners:
EVERYBODY WANTS SOME!!
We asked: What was your best weekend ever and why? Sha Bana (SA): Attended the Harry Potter Convention during a weekend in February. Got to meet and greet the stars and dressed up as a student. It was amazing.
