Movie review:
RUN ALL NIGHT
(US, 2015) Dir: Jaume Collet-Sera. Stars Liam Neeson, Ed Harris, Joel Kinnaman, Genesis Rodriguez,Vincent D'Onofrio. "Revenge and redemption are the themes of this edge of seat action thriller in which no sin goes unpunished and Liam Neeson searches for solace for his life's misdeeds ... It's a ripper of a film, filled with action, tension and drama," says Louise.

COMPETITIONS
MY OLD LADY DVD
Win one of 10 DVD copies of My old Lady, starring Kevin Kline, Maggie Smith, Kristen Scott Thomas, courtesy EOne Entertainment. Out on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital March 18.

Movie reviews:
BIG EYES
(US, 2015) Dir: Tim Burton. Stars Christoph Waltz, Amy Adams. "A lie, compliance and the windows to the soul are the elements of this extraordinary true story in which male domination and female repression play key roles," says Louise. "It's fascinating to discover that an item of what is essentially pop culture with which one was familiar some years ago has such a colourful history," says Andrew.

Movie review:
DIVERGENT: INSURGENT
(US, 2015) Dir: Robert Schwentke. Stars Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, Theo James, Jai Courtney, Naomi Watts, Kate Winslet, Maggie Q, Ashley Judd. "Kate Winslet as the villainous, power-hungry, ice-cool blonde is the best thing in this overlong sequel in which spectacular special effects dominate and whose narrative is too cluttered to involve us beyond the superficial," says Louise.

Movie review:
LOVE IS STRANGE
(US, 2014) Dir: Ira Sachs. Stars John Lithgow, Alfred Molina, Marisa Tomei. "Endearingly performed by Alfred Molina (as George) and John Lithgow (as Ben) as two ageing New York lovers who finally marry, Love Is Strange might have been more aptly titled Love Is Mellow, as Ira Sachs explores a mature age relationship that is placed under stress by the couple having to live with other people - separately. The fact they are gay is almost immaterial to the film's themes," says Andrew.

Movie review:
HOME 3D
(US, 2015) Dir: Tim Johnson. Voices: Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Steve Martin, Jennifer Lopez. "Adapted from Adam Rex's novel in praise of family and friends, Antz director Tim Johnson's film is original and fresh, with an easy to understand narrative that finds its endearing protagonist Oh (voiced by Jim Parsons) on a journey that takes him from zero to hero," says Louise.

UPCOMING FILMS
[Coming in April, The Gunman, stars Sean Penn., Javier Bardem, Idris Elba, Ray Winstone. "The scenes with Bardem are the highlights - he has the ability to make every moment edgy as he creates yet again another unique character," says Louise.] Calendar of films releasing in March

At a glance:
TOP 20
Short and sweet (or not) opinions on the most popular current releases. An easy reference for choosing which movie to see tonight or tomorrow or right now! (Occasionally we also slip in a few of our favourites if they don't make the top 20)

NEW DVDS:
THE WATER DIVINER
Stars Russell Crowe, Olga Kurylenko. "The strength of the film is its personal nature and Crowe convincingly embodies a man whose decency and love of family, propels him on a soul-searching journey of discovery in search of redemption," says Louise.

MY OLD LADY
Stars Maggie Smith, Kristen Scott-Thomas, Kevin Kline. "An inheritance is a curse and a blessing in this complex entanglement about lovers and the children who pay the price. Infidelities, cross cultures and untangling the past are the potent themes," says Louise.

FORCE MAJEURE
Stars Johannes Kuhnke, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Clara Wettergren. "If only the film were as dramatically dynamic and somewhat more economical in its style, it may have been a powder keg," says Andrew.

DARK HORSE
Stars Cliff Curtis, James Rolleston, Kirk Torrance. Like most lives (and therefore biopics) Gen Potini's is crammed with disparate - and in this case desperate - elements, a richly textured existence out of which James Napier Robertson has sculpted a compelling film, says Andrew.

Competition winners:
