Movie reviews:
IN THE HEART OF THE SEA
(US, 2015) Dir: Ron Howard. Stars Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy. "It satisfies mostly on an intellectual level, although I would have liked to be emotionally swept overboard - metaphorically speaking," says Louise. "Masterful filmmaker Ron Howard conducts his team in a symphonic, even operatic telling of a terrifying sea drama that is filled with so many aspects of human experience that we can’t count them," says Andrew.

Win one of 10 DVD copies of Ricki & the Flash, starring Meryl Streep, Rick Springfield, Kevin Kline and Mamie Gummer, courtesy Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. Available to own on Blu-ray™ with UltraViolet™, DVD & Digital from December 3, 2015.

Movie review:
TRUTH
(Aust, US, 2015) Dir: James Vanderbilt. Stars Cate Blanchett, Robert Redford, Dennis Quaid, Robert Greenwood. "First time director James Vanderbilt has made an arresting, intelligent and thought provoking film that explores the changing face of journalism in a world of big business and political clout. Cate Blanchett and Robert Redford head a wonderful cast," says Louise.

Movie review:
THE NIGHT BEFORE
(US, 2015) Dir: Jonathan Levine. Stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, Anthony Mackie. "With its zany cocktail of friends, unruly Christmas cheer and illicit drugs, The Night Before relies on its absurdity to make it zing. It nearly gets there but..." says Louise.

Movie review:
END OF THE TOUR
(UK, 2015) Dir: James Ponsoldt. Stars Jason Segel, Jesse Eisenberg, Anna Chlumsky, Joan Cusack, Mamie Gummer. "The exploration of fame through the prism of Wallace's newfound celebrity status is keenly observed, while his struggle to be portrayed accurately is touching - and educational, " says Andrew. (Melbourne only)

Movie review:
PHOENIX
(Germany, 2014) Dir: Christian Petzold. Stars Nina Hoss, Ronald Zehrfeld. "Love, loss, life and death intertwine as Hoss's beautiful and expressive features dominate the screen," says Louise.

AACTA Craft Awards:
SEALE OF QUALITY AT AACTA AWARDS
His latest feature film, Mad Max: Fury Road, has earned John Seale (pic) yet another accolade: the AACTA Award for Best Cinematography in a feature film - one of six craft awards collected by George Miller's turbo charged action drama.

NEW DVDS:
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: ROGUE NATION
Stars Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Jeremy Renner. "Filled with heart-stopping moments, this fifth in the franchise leaps to great heights with thrilling action and a story that feels fresh and vital," says Louise.

FINGERGACE: VOD
Stars Andrew Dawson. "Winner of the Best Screenplay award at the 2015 Sydney Indie Film Festival, Fingerface is certainly unique, with the 'stars' comprising Andrew Dawson's fingertips playing all the parts, crudely marked in childish face paintings," says Andrew.

Competition winners:
THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES DVD
To win a copy courtesy Roadshow Home Entertainment, we asked with whom would you like to watch this DVD and why. Caralyn Patten (Vic): My husband has always quoted parts of the books. Our son now quotes parts of the books. Makes for fun family dinner. My hubby can watch it with my son. I can sacrifice my spot.
