RADAR – WORLD MOVIES ON THE PROWL
World Movies subscription channel is launching Radar, a new Monday night
programming block dedicated to old and new works that may have gone under the
radar. The premiere is on Monday, October 5, 9:30pm with director Albert
Lamorisse's Oscar-winning 34 minute short, The Red Balloon.
Lamorisse celebrates the experience of childhood in his 1957 Oscar-winning short
classic about a young boy who develops a friendship with a red balloon that
follows him around the gloomy streets of post-war Paris.
